Connect the Livebox 2 Ethernet

Prerequisites:

Connection Livebox 2 Wi-Fi

Livebox 2 incorporates the WPS system that allows you to connect to Wi-Fi device to the Livebox without having to enter the security key.

2 - From the settings screen select the icon Networks.

3 - Networks menu appears and the access points Wi-Fi within range of the computer appear. Select from the list the Livebox to which you want to connect. It is identified by a name (or SSID) type Livebox-xxxx present on the label of your Livebox.

4 - Check the Auto Login option if you want to use this function and click the Connect button.

Automatic connection with the internet connection is established automatically when your computer is in range of your Livebox and that it is properly configurée.Vous can now access the Internet without any software installation or configuration.

5 - A window appears. Do not enter the security key.

6 - Press the Wi-Fi Livebox 2 for 1 second. The Wi-Fi indicator blinks rapidly. The connection between your computer and the Livebox 2 is underway. You have no work to do.

 

7 - A new window appears. If you are in a public place, click No, do not enable sharing or connexionaux devices. If you are at home, click Yes, enable sharing and connecting devices.

8 - Networking icon indicates that you are connected to the Livebox.

   

9 - Lancez votre navigateur et vérifiez que l'accès à internet fonctionne.

In the command prompt window, type the following: "ipconfig.exe /release" followed by "ipconfig.exe /renew" You'll get a status message that may help you pinpoint the issue.

- You are trying to connect using Windows XP Service Pack 1. One of the major reasons Microsoft brought out Windows XP Service Pack 2 was to fix the numerous wireless networking flaws with SP1. - PLSC header > change the default setting from auto/short/long to “long only”. (What is preamble anyway?- preamble is what determines how long a wireless card will wait for a return response for a wireless router, if it does not receive a reply within a set period of time, the wireless link just times out, setting the preamble mode to “long only” gives it the maximum possible time to get a signal and greatly improves connection quality.
