The Visual Land V-Touch Pro is more than just an MP4 Player. Besides the fact that it can do nearly anything an iPod can do.
It has a great balance in terms of price verses features and it's way below in cost than an iPod.
It fits well in hand and has a hard case that makes it quite durable.
That means if you break it, it won't cost a huge amount to get another one.
One of the greatest things about this, is that you are not forced to download stuff from only one source like the iPod is to iTunes.
Not that I have anything against Mac. On the contrary... I really love their products, and love iTunes as well. The fact that one can get all needed material from one location saves you tons of time searching. But as a personal preference of mine In this case, I prefer having more flexibility.
Now for the V-Touch Pro Features:
- 3 Inch Color TFT Touch Screen
- Built in 2MP camera
- Multiple video
- Music and image support
- Ultra-thin, portable housing
- TV Out for playing videos on external TV/Monitor
- Built-in speaker and MicroSD card slot
- FM Radio
- Voice Recorder
- E-Book reader.
- Image file formats
- Micro SD slot
- 4 GB memory capacity
From the start, you would have noticed that the V-Touch Pro falls short in several areas compared to the iPod.
For one the camera resolution of 2MP is a bit low for many people's preferences.
The 3 inch screen is slightly smaller than that of the iPod touch.
The iPod size is smaller in size.
Data capacity on the iPod is larger in most cases, that's without considering the use of the Micro SD card for the V-touch Pro.
Now for the tricky part.
What is the best choice for me? What would I need?
The answer is quite simple... Maybe not too simple, but take for example...
You'd love to have a car that can dance to Rock & Roll, or a watch that can speak martian.
These are really cool features. But if you're not interested in starting a R&R show, and you don't expect to ever meet martians. What on earth would you need such features for.
Take for instance where I live. Updated cell phones showed up in the market around the globe with GPRS, 3G, and so on... features before they were even available in my country. So the cell phone prices due to these extra features went up.
Neighbors, friends, everyone around me bought them because these cell phones were the latest in the market.
Even the neighbor's dog had one!
The point is they were buying a product that had greater price value than they needed. It has so many features they couldn't use even if they wanted. So what good was it???
Same thing goes with anything you buy. It all depends on what you really need compared to what features you see as just cool.
Focus On The Need. The price would then fit perfectly enough and you'll never be disappointed.
Getting back to V-Touch Pro Vs iPod. If you are only looking to listen to music, or watch some videos and maybe read some eBooks or texts, and don't need internet on it since you already have a cell phone / smart phone, then the Visual Land V-Touch Pro is for you.
But if you are looking for something more, and have the right budget for it, then I'd go for the iPod Touch instead.
So There You Have It. Hope this was useful.
